started learning how to read and write in my native language because of this book

I found this very funny: "He greatly enjoyed Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, though he could not say the same of the poems by her less talented husband, whom he found overly dramatic" (Kuang 37).

"Verbum e verbo and sensum e sensu — Word for word, sense for sense" — Cicero & Hieronymus (Kuang 105).

This book is very much making me want to continue learning Latin and written Hindi (maybe even Urdu).
