Damn it option 2 is Islington.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Islington, more and more each book and especially after Stonecrop. I love him lots
But I was interested in Hawkes as an option for Emma

Maybe this is all moot, a red herring, and all roads lead to Pierce.
I love Hawkes.
I’m nervous
Would Pierce and Emma survive a breakup and maintain a friendship?
I hope so,
But doesn’t feel inclined with Pierces nature

STUPID GOODREADS LETTER COUNT IM NOT DONE RANTING
Islington seems more likely with the writing style, but “One more difficult. One less free.” Sounds like Pierce and Hawkes.
IDK HOW I FEEL ABOUT EITHER OF THESE.
Hawkes is my favorite character, but still I love Islington nearly as much. However, I don’t think Islington and Emma would work as a couple. But would she with Hawkes?? Or maybe this is all moot
