Now the book has taken a much more historical approach that I didn’t foresee. The author is not calling violent revolutionary politics ineffective, he correctly calls it a tactic that must be relearned. Those who claim that history supports non-violence are rightfully called out as disingenuous dishonest, and it is shown how nonviolence only ever works in tandem with violent resistance.

A perfect display of the shortcomings of liberal activism. Using political violence is presented as a poison of struggle, “violence is bad in all settings, because this is what history shows. Success belongs to the peaceful.” The abolition movement as an example immediately follows. Did we forget how slavery ended in the US?! Violent tactics are presented as though they can’t ever be used effectively.Ridiculous
