Is this series worth it? I read 1 and 2. The 2nd was a lot better than the 1st

I am fan of the series so probably I am wrong person to ask but...
My favourites are 3 and 4, they are really good. If after 3 you won't become a fan it doesn't make sense to read further. If I were you I would give the last chance to the 3 part

if you don't want to continue with that series either I would recommend Desperation - it's the King's best novel in my opinion
