This is SO difficult to read, yet not surprising, as I've read several true accounts of survivors of the Holocaust over the years. I still don't know if I'll get through it by month's end. I don't want to put it down, and yet I must do so from time to time, because it is heavy. And when I put it down, I am constantly thinking about it. This one will stick with me.

I'm reading this for Women's History Month. Not sure why I chose a book that would affect me in this way, as books about the Holocaust usually do. But I chose it, and I'm going to finish it. I can read only small bits at a time, as it's a tough subject and I'm a very 'feeling' person. Even if I don't finish it by month's end, I'll be richer for having read it at all.
