I’m enjoying this book. The story and characters have caught me and then there’s these snippets that make me remember bits of my childhood; tomato and onion pie, breadcrumbs cascading across the table. I think we had that pretty off in my 70s childhood! Beautiful writing, sentences that I reread and hope to remember but know I won’t 😀
