Holy fuck, the last book is all climax. The mysteries never stop, you’re questioning everything you know and plague is taking over, all hope seems lost. The bond between the main trio is so beautiful in this last book, especially Jasmine and Lief which is never forced and feels so natural.
The last 50 pages had me in tears such a love the dragons, love the ending and the epilogue broke me :))

The isle of the dead 11/10
Holy fuck, probably the best entry in the series so far. So engaging from start to finish. The world feels more interconnected than ever and holy fuck was this entry dark.
We got a ghost ship, hostage situations and the sacrifices of duty and love. Not to mention THE DRAGONS?! Veratis was beautiful fleshed out character, loved seeing the dragons more involved 💕

A masked cult, dragon feuds, clues and more clues right under your nose. Rodda pulls off haunting imagery and situations that test our characters morals like never more. Loving how mature this series is compared to the previous.
Managed one of the solve one puzzle, only for another to be hidden within. Love that shit 🫶🏼

The stakes are higher than ever. The foreshadowing in the last book has set the mood for some more insane Deltora lore.
Once again Emily employs her trickery and classic misdirects leading to a sick final reveal.
