Murakami is trying so hard to keep the plot mysterious that this story is practically devoid of anything??? The whole thing is so elusive it’s like reading a whole bunch of nothing. This guy is so insufferable and I’m tired of his self-centered male protagonists and their creepy relationships with younger women. Also this is so poorly written. Praying this gets better at some point.
