I immediately get the impression that this author understands Peckinpah and is going to give his life and work the attention it deserves. Childhood is usually the least interesting part of most bios, but the connections being made here between Peckinpah’s early experiences and recurring themes in his films are fascinating so far. Extremely excited for this.
