I swear this book has me assuming the crash position. Like, I can’t stop, but also I’m flinching, waiting for it… waiting for it… waiting for it...

Also, randomly thinking about how even though I was only barely (super-specifically to only a couple of people) out in one high school I went to, the sheer number of friends I had through grade schools and high schools who later came out is astounding.

We found each other even when we couldn’t name it.

One of the characters is thinking about how it used to be the "Gay Straight Alliance" and has had a bunch of different names and is now "The Rainbow Coalition" and there’s this line: "I wonder what they’ll call it by the time I graduate."

I love this.

There was a line that was something like, "did kids even actually get beat up in high school or is that just TV"? and…

Wow.

Things are different now.
