I am distracted by the idea that the author thinks there are MOUNTAINS in Daytona Beach, FL. The elevation of Daytona Beach is 13' above sea level. Clearly this author has not only never stepped foot in the state, but doesn't even have access to Google.

Okay, as a lifelong Floridian, what the heck is going on with this book?! Why am I reading about a "remote mountain ridge" near Daytona Beach??? I have been all over Florida and have lived here for 41 years, and never seen so much as a hill in this state. Florida is flat as a flip flop. 🧐
