Read this book aloud four summers ago to little people who have grown so much since 🥹 My children have read this to themselves and listened to it on audio multiple times but something felt just right to visit old friends TOGETHER again aloud. Every spring I think of Mole and Ratty and Toady and after you meet them from the first, you simply cannot welcome spring without thinking of them again!

Kenneth just did it right. Truly one of the greats. I cannot witness an “apricot sky” and not say so audible since I first read this book. The lyrical wielding of words! He about uses them all right up. I cannot be dissuaded!!
