wow, wendy is the classroom queen bee mean girl but on steroids. she's horrible to linda! no-one says anything though, i guess they don't want to be on her bad side. toxic classroom culture lol

oh wow the bathroom incident. the narrator really is in the mean girls group. wendy the ringleader is horrible. the narrator should hang less with her and more with tracy wu (big bird). it's so ironic given she's always parroting lines like "animals are for loving not wearing" or "smoking is bad for your health" to rebuke other people but can't think for herself. huh

i feel like this is accurate like there's this weird narrative these days that people are bullies because they're unhappy outcasts but yeah nah here it's popular kids and just going with the crowd

well i didn't finish the biography because i started feeling weird like maybe she wouldn't want people to read it (on reddit someone is like, "some people are parasocial" when this was mentioned but to me it's being respectful of someone even if you don't know them?)

haven't read this for 40+ years and didn't think i'd remember anything but the bit about a classmate wanting to marry a horse!!!! that rang a bell
