I picked up this book because of the cover and the blurb on the back and I’m very happy that I did so. It’s a bit of a slow burn (similar to the Stormlight books), but it’s so ‘nightingly’ satisfying. I was very quickly drawn into Arlen’s internal struggles and it all snowballed from there into an immensely pleasing adventure. I can’t wait to start book 2!
