I read the first book, The Collapsing Empire. I immediately moved on and read the second book, The Consuming Fire. I just finished Chapter 19 in "The Last Emperox" and all I can say is that John F. Scalzi has some work to do in the remaining five chapters. And no, I don't actually believe that his middle initial is "F".
