Static Vs. Dynamic: Sunny is a Static Character. "Also, I hope Darrel is okay. Today is the day my mother died" (Reynolds 147). This shows he keeps his bubbly and positive personality throughout the story, even when bad things happen to him. He doesn't have to change for anyone, and gives off a happy and talkative feel to the reader.
