Choose this day whom you will serve — this is a message Joshua gave the Israelites, God’s people. Therefore this message applies to people within God’s church today. Am I serving multiple masters? Am I making myself, my relationship, my family, friends, etc. an idol?

The world tells us that our identity is found in what we desire. So to deny the fulfillment of what you desire is to deny your truest identity.
