MGM 2026: The 4th/5th graders at my school read this book recently. They kindly lent me a copy. I loved so much about Hà and her story. The plot and characters were all so emotive. I am fascinated by how free verse lent itself to Hà’s narrative voice. I think her story will resonate with young and older readers alike. This is a very timely book to share given our global political climate. 5🌟
