I think I should have read this back when I read the first 2, because I can’t get past some of the faulty plot devices. Considering The Testing itself doesn’t relinquish any pertinent information, what point is there in killing students who do not pass? Boom, the 2nd and 3rd books need not exist at that point… I held the testing in high regard but I’m too old for it at this point 😭😭

Damn this chick is dumb 🗿 first of all, if the floor is covered in a thick layer of dust, but you made sure not to leave footprints in the dirt outside, any footprints in the thick layer of DUST would be a giveaway should someone decide to search these houses. NOT TO MENTION THE BLOODY CLOTHES??? ONTOP OF THE FLOORBOARDS TOU LIFTED TO HIDE PAPERS UNDER???? Lord help her

Just explained a law preventing people from bringing weapons into government buildings. Said today she is in violation of this law.
Understood entirely.
Proceeds to spoon feed me “to obey, I would have to surrender the gun Raffe gave me”
Well, obviously, one could assume if you were violating a law that states no weapons in the government building, you probably brought your singular weapon in with you :|

Not to mention how egregiously redundant every page is, it makes me feel like I’m misremembering stuff they JUST said, because they feel the need to reiterate absolutely everything while circling around the gaping plot holes XD
