Wow! This short story really packs a punch. I’m riveted, horrified, and humbled. It’s truly amazing that this short story was written in the early 1900s and yet has predicted so much of the technological advancement that would come, as well as the attitudes that would follow suit. This was an important read considering the times we live in and how advancement seems to blind us to the reality of our plight.
