Duncan, Lucilla, and Teg are in the Gammu forest on the run. Teg leads them on a path which Patrin told him about to a Harkonen no-globe

Lucilla is preparing to sexually imprint Duncan. Duncan is training in the yard when a face dancer disguises as Teg attacks, the real Teg kills him. Schwangyu and the Tleilaxu were apart of this and Lucilla, Duncan, and Teg flee

Taraza and Waff meet on a no ship. Taraza knows what Waff did with the Honored Matre. Taraza wants access to Tleilax women and an axolotl tank and is giving Waff access to breeding on Rakis

Teg has a flashback to a conversation with Taraza after they prevented a conflict. They talk of the use of spice, prescience, and Zensummi philosophy

Stiros is upset with Tueks treatment of Sheeana and plots a surprise attack with the Ixians and Tleilax on her and Tuek. They escape and are found by Odrade and the BG where they take Sheeana

Taraza calls Teg up to a ship where he finds a person of The Scattering listening in. Taraza, Teg, and Odrade leave the ship safe and Taraza tells Teg that Duncan needs to be awakened

On the liner down from the ship Taraza warns Odrade and Teg of infrastructure dependencies and the danger of the Honored Matre

High Priest Tuek and all the priests are worshipping and following Sheenas orders including banishing dissenting Dromind. The BG are spying and keeping tabs

Lucilla and Schwanyu are clashing over Duncan’s use and 3 years passed. Duncan is battling his other self

The BG spy on Sheena and see clash between Stiros and Tuek. They see Sheena continue to order the worms

RM Odrade was separated from her parents at birth and taken by the BG. RM Superior Taraza talks to Odrade and is sending her to Rakis.
