My husband and I already had a summit about potential baby number II and how we would make it a law to treat our kids equally. Then Sarah Turner’s honest chaos showed me it might not be that simple (worth a read!). Three weeks in this book has been my comfort read: sleep deprivation changes you, and those perfect Insta mums prove infuriatingly staged. I also owe some parents an apology for how I judged them before.

I gave birth to my son at the end of February, and it has been life-changing. So much so that I had to put my beloved fiction on hold for some mum-centric literature (only temporarily, I assure you). This book has really hit the spot if you need something relatable during those soul-crushing night-feeds. Not everything about motherhood is or needs to be romanised.
