I also think another part that makes this a hard read for me honestly is that African patriarchy is differentttttt😭 will show you pepper! I think it’s good for men to read but idk if I’ll be finishing… I fully get the points she’s making because duh patriarchy does hurt men immensely. Maybe I’m just not ready yet but this is not labor I’m willing to do lol

I also think a lot of girls relate to the problems she discusses here.
I think I’m just having a hard time with this book. I appreciate the challenge but I fear it’s not my job to make a feminist out of a man. Yes men are hurt deeply by patriarchy but their hurt sometimes results in such ferocious violence against women that I’m just having a hard time reconciling.
