About to put the book as a DNF which makes me a bit disappointed. I expected to read about self-reflections and discovering one’s identity around being part of the minority group. Instead, I was reading a strong critique on structural racism. Yes it is tied to the identity, but also yes, too much bitterness. Something about the narrator also rubs me off in the wrong way. Maybe it’s the format that I am consuming.
