HE IS but, he also isn't as bad as i was expecting him to be. like he's very manipulative but, the synposis itself and all the reviews saying "scummy gong, black flag" blah blah made me think it would be something huge. i was expecting to not like him at all and then, be won over but, he wasn't that bad and you could see there was depth from the very beginning.

i prefer historical but, if you have any modern dramas you really like, recommend them as well! tysm.

Ok, so I'll go with xianxia/xuanhuan first. If you like angst, dramatic love stories, epic visuals: Fangs od Fortune, Till the end of the Moon, Whispers of Fate.
If you like more focus on romance: Love between Fairy and Devil, Love in the Clouds, A dream within a Dream, Starry Love, The Untamed
If you like less magic, more fighting wuxia style: The Blood of Youth, Dashing Youth, Blood River - all three of them share the same universe, Kill to Love, Word of Honor
If you like no fantasy, just historical: Blossom

Modern crime: Under the skin (2 seasons), Justice in the Dark
Modern romance: To My Shore, Desire, Revenged Love

A Dream within a Dream - worth watching for bromance
The Untamed - probably not need to explain
The Blood/Youth trio - not actually bl but Blood Rivers feels like it is
Word of Honor - censored bl but censors were asleep
Kill to Love - uncensored bl
I guess I can rec Meet you at the Blossom - uncensored bl but very low budget, still cute

Under the skin: not bl but feels like it is
Justice in the Dark - censored bl
The last 3 are all uncensored bl
