This is a splendid book and I'm entranced, I read half the book in 2 days.
However, and I know this is a product of its times, rather, even a better product than its times, but still--the gendering of traits, e.g. "his feminine deceit", bothers me a lot. But I know this was written in the 60s and Le Guin was young, and grew, and wrote later how her worldview improved and that's really commendable.
