I might have found a book that's too cozy, even for me. The protagonist is facing the potential loss of her livelihood with the same level of urgency as finding out why her neighbor's crops are doing so well and why the local baker isn't baking. I'm hoping that Bev's odd, dispassionate approach to life will be explained later on.
