There is a very definite trap a writer can fall into, that I think TJR has, where she takes her own love and over blows it into her story. What I thought might have been a book about space isn’t, it’s a backdrop. And what I thought a book about love is, but it isn’t about romantic love. It’s about a ferocious love a mother has for her daughter.
