I’m not sure I can stomach this. I think he’s trying to channel the humor and self-deprecation of Bill Bryson, but he’s coming off like an alliteration addicted tool. Every woman he encounters is described in objectifying detail, the latest pair of Aussies he encounters in chapter 17 he refers to as “retina relish.” Seriously? CRINGE. My eyes hurt from the rolling. Taking notes on the Camino parts though.
