Okonkwo’s mentality on weakness is obviously not reflected by everyone in the village. Obierika does not feel the desperation to prove himself so his discernment is way better. Even Ndulue couldn’t do anything without telling his wife and he still lead Umuofia to war. It’s clear Okonkwo wouldn’t even consider having a conversation with his wives about what he considers men things.

I think it’s so interesting that Agbala is the Oracle but agbala (lowercase) means a woman or a man with no title. Is there a difference in the vocalization I wonder to distinguish the difference. Crazy how the word can mean something way above you that knows more than you but also use it to demean someone.
