Very well written, the range of this author is just beyond fathomable. From a young gay guy in Ireland’s 50’s (heart’s invisible furies) to the 91 year old woman in London and the many characters he conjures up, they all seem very authentic. Just one problem - the wife and son beater in this story could easily have been discovered with an anonymous note to the school, where they have to inform authorities!
