Interested to hear your review. I remember not overly enjoying this, despite the hype. I remember being dissatisfied with the conclusions—or lack thereof—of the various stories. Perhaps if I had understood the structure and aim of the book before reading I may have enjoyed it more.

I actually just finished Kassad's story, and I have to say, it was pretty boring and very discouraging, not nearly engaging enough to make me want to look forward to picking it up and continuing...

I am trying to be forgiving and to understand the hype around it, as it is viewed as a pinnacle when it comes to sci-fi/fantasy and ranks highly on almost all lists. But fantasy is not my genre, that’s something I’m not ashamed to admit anymore. Still, for the sci-fi aspect, and with all the high praise around it, especially hearing that it has time dilation themes (which is one of my favorites), I wanted to give it a try, and it is not going well...

Without spoiling the rest of it, could you share those helpful insights you mentioned that might at least help me appreciate what the author is trying to do? I really would have loved to love this book, but it doesn’t seem like I will at this point...
