So I want to like Liliana’s character so much but I actually don’t trust her one bit. Part of me thinks she’s an informer and she has been the one spying on Cristian. Like nobody knew about their back alley coca-cola rendezvous BUT HER. Do I think Lucas is an informer as well? Def. Like Cristi even specified that Lucas reported him. BUT MAN LILIANA IS SO SKETCH AND IDK HOW TO DESCRIBE IT

WOAH. I love how sarcastic it is. Right off the bat Cristian is criticizing the Romanian communist party and it’s so interesting to see. What’s more interesting is the fact that “crimes” aren’t crimes at all! They’re simple things like stamp trading and learning philosophy. I understand the title too

Also her whole thing about the way she observes Cristian is just so odd to me. Granted, this could be a red herring and I’m fully reading into this WAY too much but idk…she’s just…like guys. I feel like she isn’t who she seems to be. If her house is facing away from his, does that mean she’s looking at him through a window? Also, with the way the report about Cristi’s altercation went down with Lucas, there needs to be a third person—a witness. And the only person who’s been introduced (that isn’t immediate family) IS HER. Like she has to work for the Secrutarie or however tf you spell it
