I feel so sad reading this book, even though it’s beautiful (Alana S. Portero knows how to write, damn….). It’s making me realize (remember, really) how we as queer people grow up being hurt over and over again in silence. And at the same time, some people in our own community insist on attacking trans people, who endure this pain ten times more, in every way. It’s madness.
