i didn’t enjoy this as much as i wanted to but i think that’s my fault for having a preconceived idea of what the book would be about, which was very different to what the stories were actually about. this was almost a dark horror at some points (?) and a lot less whimsical than i thought it would be but tbf it was well written / i just felt physically ill at some of the imagery
