Dexter JUST said that they stay out of obvious places like mansions and keep it low-key in crappy motels so they don't run into dangerous people and then they head to vegas and call one of the best penthouses their new home?!?!? Why does this author constantly contradict herself. Also Everytime there is a reference to lights working she HAS to follow it up by "...probably solar powered" SHUT UP

Why wouldn't she ask dexter why the world collapsed?? The timing of the book is weird. Is this a year in?? Why was she so smitten that he went and picked up his dog...why wouldn't he. The amount of times the author referred to the air as sharp is crazy. Why is everything she eats dry and bland. American pre packaged food has an insane shelf life. Why would everything be flavorless and dry?????

The amount of 1-3 word sentences placed for dramatic effect comes off very clunky and terrible. Maybe it's because I just read Jane erye but wow none of these sentences are long enough or descriptive enough. It feels just like you're talking to a stoner and they think they sound really poetic and cool.
