Sylvia is the queen of depicting grounded, complicated friendships. Some people have said they think these two characters are insufferable... and to that I say, maybe. She depicts two very real, imperfect, and (generally) emotionally unregulated friends that have known each other since their were small kids.

Any time I read something by Sylvia, it feels like strapping in for a roadtrip without any sense of rush or chaos. Only smooth storytelling, very interesting and unique subject matter, and fantastic atmosphere.
