so far im having a great time w the exploration of culture/language w the novel!! i think it's interesting how each character has a different name for the demons of the novel, as well as how folk practices r being explored.

i also like how they're exploring the intersection of racism/classism and how easy it is to get poor ppl to work against eachother.

gonna try to keep better track of my thoughts on this since its our first pick for book club!! im liking what we're starting w so far and the references to folklore/tradition!
