There's a certain masochism to the way I'm simply rawdogging this book, by which I mean I did not look up guides beforehand and my only exposure to Joyce previously was parts of Dubliners. I can't tell my friends "Hey today I learned what the first thunderword translates to" because they would say "What the fuck are you talking about." That said I'm having fun.
