This book was great, a sorceress mother and her daughter that she takes control over and their pursuit for money and freedom.

Cordelia, the daughter, is desperate to escape her mothers reins and befriends the sister of the man her mother, Evangeline, is trying to convince to marry her.

The story takes many turns before leaving you satisfied with a wonderful resolution.
