The family is starting to have problems because Driss’s will was not equal. It’s sad to see them going through this, and I hope they can still get along. I liked seeing Jeremy and Nora spend time together and have fun. It’s nice that Nora is thinking about something other than her father’s death. I hope that those two are going to spent time together more as it seems to help Nora get over the death.

Nora is in shock after her dad dies, which is totally understandable. I can’t imagine how hard that must be. The book also introduces Maryam and Driss, Driss is Nora's dad and at first it was confusing, but then I realized it shows Driss’s childhood and how they moved from Morocco to America. Hearing about his rough past made me sad. I hope Nora can get over the death and that they find out who killed her dad.

I just started this book, and it grabbed my attention right from the first page. At the beginning we’re introduced to the main character Nora. The way the author does this is both sad and interesting. Nora is out with her friend when she suddenly gets a message saying that her dad has been found dead after being hit by a car. This moment is sad and interesting, which made me want to keep reading the book even more.
