I really enjoyed the beginning, but their conflict now just feels exhausting and childish. I don't understand why the main character is suddenly being so wishy-washy and childish. This feels like the 3rd act conflict that nobody wants in the book, but its happening in the middle, leading to me feeling drained and not really excited to continue, because that means there will be other pointless conflicts.
