I hate reading about stupid people who do stupid things

This is like that one episode of Always Sunny where Dee and Charlie think they've become cannibals and acquired a taste for human flesh

I hate every single person in this book they are all such absolutely awful people

Maybe this is a subverting your expectations kind of story and we will find out actually something else is happening but idk I feel like having the plot be "The fat guy is so hungry he's eating people!!!" is like really lazy plot making, right?
