Finished The Bear. My first taste of Faulkner and I really like the prose and writing style. It was fun trying to grapple with the themes, but the family was so complicated & I got quite frustrated with it. I preferred the nature chapters, but the greatest depth and weight (imo, on a 1st read) is in the non-nature chapter. Definitely deserves a reread.

Finished Spotted Horses. Very funny and entertaining depiction of a small town scam and the fallout from it. Infuriating ending which works thematically, but is still infuriating. 4/5.
