Everything in life was worth it to read Part 2 Chapter 4 of this novel

I WISH I UNDERSTOOD THIS FACE TROPE! Definitely about shame/vulnerability, but also identity? This being the novel of pagan redemption, the title implies that HAVING a face will redeem us?? Does that make sense? Connection with God making us in his image? In order to be saved you must first be seen? I’m actually going insane I feel like it’s so obvious and I’m the only one not getting it

I can just tell I am on the cusp of some crazy a*s sh!t. I’m very excited, a little scared. Gonna be pissed if this isn’t a redemption arc, but I’m almost certain I will get what I want

Amazed and obsessed and enamoured with this novel. Terrified of how it will end though. Also confused. Will anyone be redeemed? Everyone? Very upset. Loving it though.

Holy shit. So many questions, theories, and predictions. Will this be a book about redemption? WHOSE redemption (specifically, which sister!!)? Lewis has made good work of reconciling reason with faith, but I’m still very confused how he is going to “redeem the pagan” and reconcile mysticism. Maybe he won’t? That would be so unsatisfying. If this isn’t a redemption book I’m going to be so mad at Taylor!!
