As someone who’s read another book about a reformatory school written by a BW, I can’t help but to compare the two books and their writing styles. The Reformatory gave so much more world building and depth and it made you feel like you were apart of the story at every step. But it was also more fantasy than this version of a reformatory school experience. It’s more matter-of-fact and goes from point A to B
