-The irony- Kony broke. over the deaths of his own wives and children claiming there’s “no justice to this at all” pg 341
-Florence + boys escaping with Patrick’s help. Feelings of doom when a boy says “we don’t know they’re still chasing us.” Patrick says “you don’t, but I do” pg 358
-Anthony’s been trapped in LRA for 10 years now
-Patrick and Albert still alive too

pg 295- describes more gross, barbaric behavior forced upon the soldiers.
Chapter 32- Florence is amazing. Tearing up over her’s and babies’ circumstances caught in the middle of intense fighting and the will to survive.

“…the Great Teacher was a criminal, a murderer, and someone who promoted murder. Of children. By children. And now he was turning boys into monsters, machines, by preying on their weaknesses, and was giving old men young, kidnapped girls and laughing about it.” pg 195

I’m crying at the end of chapter 19; Florence is now abducted and on the grueling route to the LRA camp

“…Kony brought us [LRA] to forge an alliance with the Arab government, which is at war with the Sudanese People’s Liberation Army, who are mostly Dinka people who want to break away from Sudan.” pg 81
“…if we [LRA] fight against the Dinka rebels in Sudan, the Arabs give us weapons, ammunition, and food we can eventually use to defeat Museveni at home in Uganda.” pg 82
