The start of this book has been so depressing lol. It is not so much because of the events that happened to Phoebe, but the way Phoebe thinks and responds to life and all that went on. It makes me think, how much can a positive mindset and faith counter bad things that happen to us? As the story unfolds, you just see Phoebe spiraling - not all at once but a gradual spiral. With that said, I'm super intrigued.
