I'm not entirely sure where the book is heading, and that's a great sign because I'm usually annoyingly good at predicting the plot/trajectory of a book. I'm also reading it pretty slowly, even taking time to reread certain sections. That's another really good sign, because I haven't felt the instinct to digest a book slowly since I read Where The Crawdads Sing, which is my favorite book.
