Is it better than the first book? I tried to read riftborne 3 different times and couldn’t get through 😅

I really need to get into this series, I've heard such conflicting things about it though!

Book one is for sure slower-paced but I was personally fine with it (also coming from reading mistborn which moved at a snail pace so I might be a little desensitized to it haha). I think you might find book 2 more enjoyable to read since it’s more action filled and the plot development is also quite fast ☺️

I was conflicted about starting it as well. I think a lot of readers went into this expecting a typical Romantasy and go thrown off by this political and war-centric plot which has a slower build up. You just have to go into it with the right mindset and expectations, but I personally loved both books!
